How do I change/update my Robo-Blocker message?

IMPORTANT: You only need to follow these instructions if you would like to personalize your Robo-Blocker message.

Step 1: If you just signed up for the RoboBeGone service and are transferring your existing number, you will first need to dial 609-385-2885. Once the voice prompt begins, press 4, wait for the beep and then enter your number. This is because your number still needs to go through the porting process. The porting process for your phone number can take anywhere from 5-10 days at which point your RoboBeGone service will become active. In the meantime, your phone number will ring like it always has. If you purchased a new number from RoboBeGone, you can dial that number now and give it a try.
Once you hear the default Robo-Blocker message which sounds like this (play a sound bite from the RB message) you can press *8 to access the voicemail box. You will then be prompted for your voicemail pin, which can be found on your welcome email, or the RoboBeGone customer portal.

Step 2: Listen to the prompt and press “0” for Mailbox options.

Step 3: Listen to the Mailbox options prompt and press “3” to record your Robo-Blocker message. After the beep, begin recording your Robo-Blocker message and press the “#” key when finished.

Step 4: You will now have a few options on what to do with your recorded Robo-Blocker Message:

  • Option 1: Save the recording
  • Option 2: Listen to the recording
  • Option 3: Re-record the message

Once you are satisfied with your Robo-Blocker Message, press 1 to save the recording and then you can hang up.

Your recording will now replace the default recording for your RoboBeGone service, and all non-whitelisted callers will hear it when calling your RoboBeGone number.

To listen to your recording on the live system, dial into your number using the directions from step 1 based on your circumstances. Once you dial in you will hear your freshly recorded Robo-Blocker message.

For your convenience we have pre-recorded 6 default Robo-Blocker messages for you to choose from on the customer portal! To choose one, please follow these directions:

Navigate to my.robobegone.com/customer/login. You can do this by typing this URL into your browsers address bar, or by clicking the “Customer Portal” link on robobegone.com.

Then, login with your email address and password that you created during signup. If you forget your password, please use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to reset it.

Once you’re logged in, navigate to “My Numbers” on the left-hand side of your screen.

If you have multiple numbers associated with your RoboBeGone account, find the one you are looking for from the list and hit the Red button under the “action” column.

From here, you can listen to the recordings by clicking on the corresponding play button.

When you find the recording you like most, click the green button under the action column to set that recording as your Robo-Blocker message.

And that’s it! You’re Robo-Blocker message has been set and will be played to all inbound callers who are not on your whitelist.
