How can I update my voicemail (unavailable) message?

IMPORTANT: You only need to follow these instructions if you would like to personalize your Voicemail (unavailable) message.

Let’s Update your unavailable message!

Before we begin, just know that you don’t have to worry about messing anything up. If you accidentally overwrite a recording or something of the sort, just start over and record it again!

Now…

Step 1: If you just signed up for the RoboBeGone service and are transferring your existing number, you will first need to dial 609-385-2885. Once the voice prompt begins, press 4, wait for the beep and then enter your number. This is because your number still needs to go through the porting process. The porting process for your phone number can take anywhere from 5-10 days at which point your RoboBeGone service will become active. In the meantime, your phone number will ring like it always has. If you purchased a new number from RoboBeGone, you can dial that number now and give it a try.
Once you hear the default Robo-Blocker message which sounds like this (play a sound bite from the RB message) you can press *8 to access the voicemail box. You will then be prompted for your voicemail pin, which can be found on your welcome email, or the RoboBeGone customer portal.

Step 2: Listen to the prompt and press “0” for Mailbox options.

Step 3: Listen to the Mailbox options prompt and press “1” to record your unavailable message. After the beep, begin recording your Robo-Blocker message and press the “#” key when finished.

Step 4: You will now have a few options on what to do with your recorded unavailable Message:

  • Option 1: Save the recording
  • Option 2: Listen to the recording
  • Option 3: Re-record the message

Once you are satisfied with your unavailable Message, press 1 to save the recording and then you can hang up.

Your recording will now replace the default unavailable recording for your RoboBeGone service.

To listen to your recording on the live system, dial into your number using the directions from step 1 based on your circumstances. Once you dial in, enter your Robo-Blocker pin and allow the system to ring out and go to your voicemail. You will hear your freshly recorded unavailable message.

And that’s it! Your unavailable message has been set and will be played when someone reaches your voicemail box.
